Amazon.com Transportation is developing new and innovative approaches for our Global transportation network. Amazon transportation encompasses all of the technology services that enable delivery of shipments to and from our fulfillment centers (FCs) and third party locations globally.
As an EDI analyst, you will interact with transportation carriers and other technology teams to define an implement integration strategies and tactics. You will work with different technical standards for different global regions, identifying EDI solutions to business needs and constantly improving the effectiveness of our EDI communications. The EDI Analyst partners with Amazon business teams and carriers worldwide to identify new offerings and continuously improve the EDI integration process, current offerings and data quality. Additional tasks include maintenance of the Amazon EDI specifications, mapping and carrier configurations. To be successful, an EDI Analyst requires mastery of a variety of proven analytical, communication and leadership skills.
This position requires a minimum of a BA/BS in Business or an appropriate technical discipline. 3+ years experience with ANSI X12 standards, especially V4010 and above, including Load Tenders, manifests, shipment status, and invoices. EDI 204, 215, 214 and 210, as well as corresponding EDIFACT and XML documents Experience with EDI communications standards and protocols – AS2, SFTP, HTTPS Experience with writing functional design documents, troubleshooting complex EDI failures, and with unit testing methods Experience with at least one EDI Software Implementation platform (Contivo, Gentran, etc.) strong analytical skills, an attention to detail, strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to self start and self motivate. Successful characteristics for the position are the ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently, adjust priorities, and work in a continuously changing environment.
