Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant training and experience; Three years’ experience in office administration, customer service skills, document management or project management experience. Monitor and control multiple schedules; maintain confidential records and excellent telephone skills with professional demeanor. Management including some supervisory experience; Proficient computer skills in MS Office (word processing, database management, spreadsheets, power point). Ability to communicate effectively and work closely with students, faculty and health care professionals; Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, good organizational and time management skills. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Ability to perform all tasks and job responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Three years’ experience in health care, customer service or education field.
Assists with administrative management of program, acting as liaison between coordinators and students.
Maintains and coordinates activities required to comply with institutional and program requirements, summarizing and extracting data.
Acts as liaison to appropriate supervisor in the development of operating budgets for the program(s). Manages operating budget(s) by generating requisitions in support of education activities, travels, acquisitions and miscellaneous functions. Manages receipts and disbursements of program funds.
Manages proper student documentation through program completion.
Compiles and maintains data to insure compliance with accreditation agencies and for reporting purposes. Coordinates and prepares materials for continued accreditation.
Coordinates activities related to educational conferences, meetings, lectures, laboratory sessions, examination and special events as directed by curriculum. Assists in development and implementation of schedules as mandated. Coordinates and directs orientation of upcoming participants. Instructs students as necessary. Thorough understanding and knowledge of UGME education policies and procedures, and Medical Student Handbook guidelines.
Assists with special projects and other duties as assigned.
