Bachelor’s degree in Education or closely related field or equivalent training and/or relevant experience. Five years of related experience.

Knowledge of educational terminology and methodologies, computer skills using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access). Ability to explain procedures and policies, communicate with various levels of staff, students and faculty.

Requires the ability to work with minimal supervision, be energetic, and show initiative (self-starter). Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Ability to perform all tasks and responsibilities safely without injury to self and others in compliance with A&M System and HSC guidelines.

Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s or Doctorate preferred. Teaching experience and/or academic counseling experience at a college or professional school level and/or any advanced teacher training a plus. Teacher Certification

Presentation software, scanning, formatting and statistical skills.

Job Detail:
Plan, develop and implement appropriate, ongoing training(s) for College of Medicine faculty teaching or who are wanting to teach online courses.

Provide support for EDHP online courses and continuing support as follow up for those who attend online teaching training courses

Provide AEA (Assessment, Evaluation and Accreditation) support for all activities within the Office of Faculty Development

Responsible for website maintenance and development.

Development and delivery of modules, presentations and workshops for OFD

Participate in appropriate College of Medicine committees and activities to gain a better understanding of the educational process, assist with recruitment, and interact with faculty, staff, and students.

Serve as an Academic Advisor to students enrolled in the Certificate or the Master’s degree programs.

Engage in medical education related research.

Provides support for students and faculty related to teaching, learning, and assessment; engages in seeking funding opportunities.

Available to teach periodically in the UME courses, and/or to assist with curriculum development and delivery in conjunction with the Office of Faculty Development.

Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
