This position consists of analysis, communication, implementation, problem resolution, testing, training, and maintenance for various automated applications within the organization. This role will troubleshoot client service requests on an on-going basis and ensure that all activities are performed at a level of quality consistent with department standards. The successful candidate will exercise critical thinking and professional judgment to take appropriate actions. Assist with the resolution of problems with a wide range of automated systems. Works with users on requests to automate changes in workflows and improve efficiencies of systems. The successful candidate must be able to prioritize problems and requests based demands. The successful candidate will provide ongoing support communication to other staff members, promoting an empowered, multi-disciplinary team environment. This is a high level position with significant operational responsibilities and will require a detail-oriented individual able to follow complex technical instructions. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills in order to interface with both internal and vendor personnel to address issues as well as provide project support. Performs other duties as assigned Maintain and administer the hospital’s existing ambulatory EMR applications. Plan and apply routine and scheduled updates. Evaluate and coordinate application security environments to meet the regulations.
The candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience in working with a healthcare environment providing support for automated systems/applications. Must have experience with databases, report creation, setting up/maintaining/troubleshooting an EMR or other large software program. Experience coordinating medical or other complex, privileged information.
Bachelors degree in Information Technology or related field is required.
The candidate must possess excellent computer software and hardware computer skills. Must include the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks. Must be able to determine resources needed to complete tasks and follow up with those tasks until successfully completion. The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to work effectively with medical staff and enact with physicians on an effective basis. The candidate must be able to schedule/plan project activities. Must be to work with vendor to diagnosis problems and find solutions to automating workflows. The candidate must have excellent skills with MS Office and some expertise with industry standard report writing tools. Must have some experience with supporting database applications..
