Job Title: EHR Support Associate
Reports To: EHR Director/Senior EHR Analyst
Summary: This description covers the essential functions of the position. Incumbent is expected to perform other similar and related job duties as assigned. Management has the right to change or add to the job responsibilities at any time after providing adequate notice and discussion.
Key Job Criteria/Responsibilities/Standards: Provides level 1 support for EMR application issues Acts as a liaison between client and vendor Assists client to troubleshoot various problems Logs tickets with vendor, following up on resolution Works closely with level 2 and level 3 support to resolve problems Documents issues and resolution Submits time spent on client issues Monitor incoming lab/procedure results and redirect as necessary through interface Audits open charts, inboxes and e-refill requests Merges duplicate charts Maintains Professional Licenses and DEA information for all provides as required for the Surescripts database Maintains lab catalogs for all databases Maintains referring caregiver and pharmacy lists for all databases Provides training to Providers, nurses, medical assistants and front office staff Provides onsite support during implementation Updates training documentation Performs testing after EHR upgrades, updates and as needed Assists the EHR Document/Report Maintenance specialist with management of Fax Server Perform administrative duties including but not limited to organization of EMR meetings / trainings plus maintenance of meeting minutes Learns new EHR applications as required Protect the confidentiality of Medical Practice Partners’ interests and patient’s medical records Works independently and with the team to organize many details in order to meet deadlines Demonstrates excellent communication skills and ability to quickly assess new situations and develop appropriate solutions to problems Participates in on-call rotation
