We are actively seeking the best and brightest minds from all industries to continue to build our world class team.Our employees thrive in a fast-paced engineering ecosystem focused on innovation and high levels of personal responsibility.At SpaceX we cut through the noise and believe in the essentials of hardcore engineering.We build it, test it, and fly it.The OpportunitySpaceX is currently seeking a talented individual for our Environmental Health & Safety department.ResponsibilitiesThis position supports the Environmental Health and Safety Team located at the Corporate Headquarters by assisting in a variety of responsibilities that include, but are not limited to the following: Develop and implement training programs and procedures relating to environmental safety and industrial hygiene issues.Perform any needed industrial hygiene monitoring and generate monitoring technical reports.Conduct field surveys including reviewing MSDS’s and performing Hazard Assessments to determine specific safety requirements such as proper personal protective equipment and training.Assisting in audits and incident investigationsProvide field support to the EHS techniciansResource for field industrial hygiene questionsObserving employees to identify potential ergonomic hazards and controlsRequired Skills/Education/Work ExperienceMust be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.Must be pursuing a BS or graduate degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Industrial Safety or Environmental Occupational Health.Fundamentals of Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene and/or Safety coursesIH Instrumentation knowledge desirableComputer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel) requiredExcellent communication skills and self-starter requiredCandidate must be comfortable working in a variety of settings including office and plant (industrial) environments on both team work and self-directed roles.
