The Environmental Health & Safety Leader will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to affect short-term and some long-term business goals for the Gasification business.

Essential Responsibilities

In addition, you will:
Develop and implement policies and procedures consistent with the GE EHS Framework Elements

Maintain training records and matrix and deliver training as required

Provide input to Gasification Leadership on EHS issues

Assist in modifications of EHS programs and procedures to ensure company compliance

Support assigned sites with audits, accident investigations and EHS concerns

Maintain an in-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements

Develop and work with site operations team focused on EHS program development, implementation and improvement

Measure progress toward successfully meeting corporate expectations

Integrate the EHS function with site operations

Assure all regulatory required reports and submittals are filed timely and accurately

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in related science / engineering from an accredited college or university (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of industry experience)

Minimum of 3 years of experience with exposure to several EHS areas in a service / manufacturing / project environment

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to travel globally as required up to 25%
