The Career Opportunities – EHS Officer

Lannett has an immediate opening on its corporate staff for an experienced EHS Officer. This is a highly visible position in the company and requires someone with significant experience with OSHA compliance and training. Also required is a hands on approach and experience in Federal, State, and City of Philadelphia environmental regulations, compliance, and permits.

To Be Considered

A candidate must have a strong OSHA compliance and training background with experience with manufacturing operations in a highly regulated industry (preferably in pharmaceuticals). With its main facilities in Philadelphia the candidate should also be experienced working with the City of Philadelphia on environmental permits.

The successful candidate should have:
A minimum of 5 years of EHS experience with a strong preference for experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Experience in the development, implementation, and administering an ongoing comprehensive risk management and safety management program.

Experience with the development, review, and submittal of environmental permits with different regulatory agencies is important.

Experience in dealing with city, state, and federal government agencies is important with experience in inspection, information request, or other situations.

Experience in a controlled substance environment is a definite plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze and troubleshoot issues and problems.

High energy, good work standards, judgment, planning and organizing skills, along with an attention to detail are also important.

Strong written communication skills with an emphasis on technical documents, reports, and records.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

B.S. or M.S. in a science related field (preferably chemistry or environmental)

A good working knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and processes is highly desired.
