JOB SUMMARY:

Total Safety, the leading global outsourced provider of integrated safety and compliance solutions and products, is looking for an experienced EHS Safety Manager to manage and direct Business Development, Proposal Development and Field Service Representatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Plans, develops, implements and manages the EHS Services line of business with emphasis on overseeing project based, on-site activities of teams comprised of EHS Service Technicians and Representatives.
•Manages EHS initiatives that support business development and proposal development.
•Effectively manage P&L activities within established budget.
•Ability to identify regulations as they apply to real time situations and effectively make the right decision with little or no management guidance.
•Experience in a Health & Safety environment within an industrial service, refining, petrochemical or manufacturing environment.
•On occasion perform senior level billable safety work in emergency situations.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
•Bachelor’s degree in an HSE or related Scientific Field;
•CSP, PHA/PSM desirable;
•10 + years experience in safety/PSM arena;
•Experience with P&L oversight, and budgetary responsibility;
•Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety and Hazards Administration and EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations and requirements. Knowledge of State and Federal laws, local ordinances, and other rules and regulations associated with facility and employee Health & Safety.
•Ability to identify regulations as they apply to real time situations and effectively make the right decision with little or no management guidance.
•Experience in a Health & Safety environment within an industrial service, refining, petrochemical or manufacturing environment.
•Effective communication (written, verbal and listening) and interpersonal skills. Experience with technical writing (operating procedures, policies, incident and investigation reports)
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND DEMANDS:
Work Environment:
Splits time between office and shop or field locations. Travels to other facilities in assigned area as needed.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel; frequently required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear; occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision. When in the field will climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs and other elevated working surfaces and enter confined spaces and other potentially hazardous work environments.
