ELOTUZUMAB GROUP MEDICAL DIRECTOR(Job Number: 1203045)
The successful candidate will have an advance degree (MD, PhD, or Pharm.D.) with clinical or industry experience. Five or more years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry (medical affairs or clinical development) and broad experience in hematology/oncology is preferred, with expertise in multiple myeloma desired. The candidate should also have experience working with national and regional physician thought leaders in the area of hematology/oncology, strong analytical skills, experience with designing or running clinical trials, an ability to evaluate scientific data and medical literature and extrapolate them to medical, marketing, or sales programs, strong project management skills and ability to work effectively with cross functional teams including clinical, marketing, sales, medical science, and should be highly organized and motivated individual with ability to develop and coordinate multiple projects and initiatives, possessing excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills.
The Elotuzumab Medical Director will work closely with the Group Medical Director Hematology and HQ Elotuzumab Medical Director. The Elotuzumab Medical Director will be based in the HQ team for 12 months and then transition into the US Medical Affairs organization as the US Elotuzumab Medical Director. The Elotuzumab Medical Director will provide medical insight into the development and commercialization plans for Elotuzumab in the US, support the development and execution of the US medical plan, provide medical insight into global strategic plans, support creation and implementation of a US Thought Leader plan, in addition to providing strategic direction into the Elotuzumab Scientific Communication Platform. They will also support the Design for Value analysis to identify evidence gaps to address unmet needs and to define opportunities for generation of practice informing data to address gaps in the US. The Elotuzumab Medical Director will be a member of the Global Medical Team (GMT). S/he will partner closely with medical affairs colleagues, Clinical, Discovery, Regulatory, Commercial, Access, Health Outcomes and other key functions. S/he will partner and work with the EU and prioritized market Medical Leads, in addition to the Elotuzumab HQ Medical Communications lead and publication operations.
