Summary : Reporting to the Medical Director, Employee Health and Occupational Injury, will develop, promote, implement and measure comprehensive employee wellness programs across the UMass Memorial health Care system, including but not limited to health screenings/biometrics, health fairs, wellness events and programs, coaching and lifestyle programs, and high risk management programs.. Will evaluate the ongoing needs across the health care system and both create and expand programs based on those needs. Collaborates with vendors, carriers and other HR and Finance staff to ensure programs have a positive impact on health outcomes.

Qualifications : Position requites 3-5 years experience working in an employee wellness/health promotion environment. A BS degree in health education, nursing, or other clinical area is strongly preferred. Must possess the ability to move from concept to implementation, have demonstrated program management experience and have strong data collection and analysis skills. Strong skills in fostering good employee relations, including the ability to effectively manage conflict and work with staff and physicians at all levels, as well as external vendors and community partners. Must be an independent thinker who can also work effectively as part of several teams in a highly matrixed organization. Knowledge of and ability to use computers with Windows- based business software applications. For example: Microsoft Word and / or MAC, PowerPoint and Microsoft Publisher. Skill in oral and written communication, including the ability to draft, proof and construct professional documents and correspondence. Effective organizational skills and attention to detail including the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects at the same time and adaptability to changing priorities to meet demands of business. Strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities and problem solving skills. Ability to independently research best practices and make effective recommendations using creativity and critical thinking skills. Track record demonstrating ability to function independently and as a team member. Ability to travel as needed.
