JOB REQUIREMENTS: NJ State Certified Paramedic
? Greet EMS and Assist Charge Nurse in assigning appropriate bed space
? Obtain EMS report from prehospital providers and relay report to primary nurse when available
? Assist physician and primary nurse with patient care: Specifically intravenous line, albuterol treatments, cardiopulmonary resuscitation under supervision and order of physician
? Assist in maintenance of EMS Room and EMS facilities at NBIMC
? Maintain outstanding relationships with prehospital provider
? Alert Physician and Nurse with critical patients and any changing patient condition
? Support and comply with the Departments policies and procedures for compliance and accreditation with all academic and clinical state and Federal regulatory agencies such as the JCAHO, HCFA, EMTLA.
? Support all practices of outstanding patient satisfaction
? Attend meetings at request of Chair or Vice-Chair
? Maintain clinical performance expectations as defined by department policies
? Comply with all rules and regulations, bylaws and policies of the Department of Emergency Medicine, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Barnabas Health and all applicable State, Federal and regulatory agencies
