ENGINE RESEARCH TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities include testing automotive engines in their prototype stages to meet our requirements in the area of engine emission and fuel economy development and verification. This will include bench dyno and vehicle testing, result summarization, engine building, testing, analysis, engine tear down and reporting results. Additional responsibilities will include instrumentation and data acquisition, calibration and maintenance of test equipment, technical report writing and presenting final results to various groups.
2 Year degree in a Technical field and a minimum of 8 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience should be in the area of vehicle or unit engine testing, stress measurement and usage of accelerometers and thermocouples. Knowledge of dyno software automation and experience making new software programs and troubleshooting required. Weekend work and 2
shift hours may be required. Proficient PC Skills, including but not limited to Excel, PowerPoint, MATLAB/LABVIEW, and database management. Excellent communication/interpersonal skills required. Ability to travel and work overtime may be required.
