The selectee will serve as an Engineering Technician and provide engineering support services in the field of construction contracts. Major duties and responsibilities:
- Review, assess and resolve complex and diverse (e.g. multistory, multi-trade, multiple technologies) construction and design problems.
- Provide technical oversight of multiple construction contracts, review contract packages including plans and specifications, prepare quality assurance plans, and provide overall coordination of construction operations.
- Coordinate construction operations between contractors, stations personnel and other government agencies; and ensure that arrangements are made for construction site access and utilities, gate passes and clearances, storage areas, and government furnished equipment.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Providing engineering support services in the field of construction contracts between the Navy and private parties (individuals, corporations, or partnerships) involving construction of buildings, pavements, and utility systems.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and requires additional education, training and experience. Applicants should meet the DAWIA Certification requirements for the Facilities Engineering Career Field and be certified at Level II at the time of application.
