As our business expands and more and more people rely on our services, we are expanding our enterprise operation center. The EOC is charged with identifying initiatives to reduce organizational costs, analyzing and developing action plans for key business challenges, and creating an even more exciting place for our associates to work.

As our EOC Infrastructure Senior, you will provide daily operational support and maintenance across the enterprise.

Who you’ll work with:
In this critical role, you will maintain operational readiness by working with the right facilities, hardware and software vendors to ensure timely incident resolution. You will also work with engineers to develop processes and procedures, and assist in the development of junior level associates.

What we expect:
As EOC Infrastructure Senior, you’ll need to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with occasionally conflicting priorities. Key responsibilities include:

Performs initial tier 2 troubleshooting techniques in attempt to resolve incidents, and escalates using official escalation procedures when appropriate.

Resolves production incidents by working with internal and external technology support organizations

Owns incidents and drives thru to resolution

Manages service requests and executes standard changes with minimal supervision

Ensures both the customer and internal management are notified of impacting outage situations using official communications procedures

Opens, updates and closes incidents

Communicates status to associates/management via approved communication processes

Executes moves, adds and changes (M/A/C) to CI’s and corporate asset in infrastructure

Participates in 24/7/4 (3) shift rotation

Opens problem tickets up with appropriate group to prevent future incidents or problems

Participates in 7X24 on-call production support activities based upon documented support procedures

Develops and writes operations processes and procedures to prevent and reduce the severity of outages

Executes the daily, weekly, monthly operational monitoring and reporting.

Follows structured change management processes

Assists in the development/mentoring of junior associates

What you’ll bring

As EOC Infrastructure Senior, you should have 3-5 years experience in an operations center supporting an enterprise network and system environment. You should also have a Bachelors Degree in a related technical field, or demonstrated real world experience.

Technical Skills

Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining Cisco router/switch/firewall platforms across multiple production environments

Experience working with the following protocols: TCP/IP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, and STP

Experience working with carriers and an understanding of their products such as MPLS, frame relay, and ISDN

Experience as a systems administrator in one or more of the following environments: AIX, UNIX, Linux, and Windows

Familiar with TOP, TOPAS, NMON, VMSTAT, and PerfMon in an effort to isolate incidents in the server environment

Knowledge of shell scripting

Experience as a mainframe operator with working knowledge of CICS, Jobtrac, and NetView

Familiar with environment monitoring and troubleshooting tools including Spectrum, eHealth, NetScout, and WireShark

Knowledge of ITIL Service Management best practices

Understanding of VM and Websphere is a plus
