Department Job Summary:
Supports staff and physicians as designated by Unit Manager or CV Director.
Participates in quality improvement and patient safety activities. Collaborates with other members of the health care team to provide patient care in compliance with established standards.
Provides direct patient care for patients by assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Graduate of CCAHEP or ASCP/SCP accredited program. - Bachelors degree in biology, anatomy, physiology, or a related field, or allied health professional ( 2 years experience) - RT license. Certified: - RCIS or NASPE certification - RT with RCIS certification or Registered Nurse
Preferable Cardiac Catheterization or Electrophysiology Lab experience - Preferred allied health professional experience (in cardiology) - Must have documented competency in interpretation of EKG and Hemodynamic Certified: - One (1) year experience as Cath/EP Tech. - Must have documented competency in interpretation of EKG and hemodynamics
Special Skills or Knowledge:
Demonstrates the ability to utilize critical thinking skills.
ACLS , therapeutic communication, teaching skills, general understanding of sterile techniques, current pharmacological knowledge, basic computer skills, radiology, venipuncture, EKG, Basic dysrhythmia and Conscious sedation credentialing.
Licensure or Certification:
ma License; ACLS and BCLS certification
