Four vacancies currently exist, in Water Mains, Water Taps and Services, and Sewer Taps and Services. All are temporary positions with benefits "WCCG", with the possibility of becoming permanent at a later date. Shifts to be determined.

The City of Fort Worth Water Department is seeking an individual to maintain and operate various types of motorized equipment in performance of assigned job duties; to work in the safest manner possible to ensure the safety of crewmembers and the general public; to participate in work tasks related to job completion as assigned.

Skills / Requirements High school diploma or GED certificate supplemented by specialized training in motorized equipment operations PLUS two (2) years experience in operation of motorized equipment (e.g. 7 and 12-yard dump trucks to pull trailer with backhoe and various types of off-road equipment).

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in water/wastewater maintenance and construction.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Possession of a Class A-CDL driver's license and an acceptable driving record required at time of application. Ability to pass DOT physical required.

For Wastewater, possession of a minimum TCEQ Type I Wastewater License at time of application preferred or successful applicant will be required to obtain a Type I Wastewater License within 6 months from date of hire, for Water possession of a minimum TCEQ Class D water license at time of application preferred, or successful applicant will be required to obtain a Class D Water license within 6 months from date of hire.
MISC. REQUIREMENTS: City of Fort Worth policy on acceptable driving record required.
