Per S|Energy has an immediate need for ESBWR I&C and Electrical Design Tools Software Engineers at our client in South East US. This is a full time Contract position lasting approximately12 months.

Position Description and Responsibilities:
Capture engineering design tools requirements by brainstorming with engineering tools and disciplines leads
Analyze requirements and recommend solutions through architecture discussions
Identify the scope of the work, create work plans, and provide initial estimate
Document the initial design and seek feedback
Engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs, and work closely with other developers and IM/IT personnel
Execute in a fast pace delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet milestones
Manage your own works and provide updates
Maintain code quality through best practices
Design and implement software modules
Engage in discussions to realize a specific product module from scratch
Able to work under minimal supervision and a strong individual contributor
Encourages input from all members of the team
Configuration control and manage of software requirements, design, implementation, and test.

Position Requirements:
2 year Technologist Degree desired in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Science, or Technology, or Electrical Engineering
Minimum 4 years of experience in software development including requirement definition, elicitation, and management
Minimum 3 years of experience using a requirements engineering tool or techniques (preferred DOORS)
Minimum 3 years of experience using MS Office Professional [e.g.; Visio, Excel, Access, and Word] in an engineering environment
Minimum 3 years of experience using VB, VBA, Fortran, and C++/C#/C programming languages
Minimum 3 years of experience using MS Visual Studio or other integrated development environment (IDE)
Minimum 3 years of experience using software, database and system design and architecture in OOD, UML, ERD environments
Minimum 3 years of experience in the electrical utility or process, power, and marine industrial environment
Proven skills and interest in creating engineering process automation and productivity and related design solutions
Ability to understand Mechanical plant process Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Electrical one-lines and schematic diagrams/drawings, and Control logic or sequent diagrams
Ability to clearly communicate ideas and implementations of integrated software solutions with team members and senior leadership
Ability to work well with culturally and technically diverse individuals as well as collocated and remote global teams

Desired Qualifications:
4 year Bachelor Degree desired in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Science, or Technology, or Electrical Engineering
Ability to work on solutions involving multiple software development environments and programming languages
Familiar with advanced and lean engineering design processes, controls, and tools in general and I&C and Electrical specifically
Familiar with simulation assisted engineering and related modeling tools [e.g.; 3KeyMaster, Easy5, Mathmatica, Modelica]
Familiar with Intergraph SmartPlant Enterprise Solution suite [e.g.; SPP&ID, SPI, SPEL, SmartSketch, SP Foundation]
Familiar with generic industry approaches to I&C databases and other related lists [e.g.; I/O, SP/FX, instruments, electrical and heat loads, components, cabinets, equipment]
Familiar with IEEE, ISA, IEC and industry standards related to Mechanical P&IDs, Electrical One-Lines and Schematics as well as Control logic diagrams/drawings
Familiar with plant process control and monitoring systems including design, development, and implementation using modern programmable logic controllers (PLC), digital control systems (DCS), and distributed control and Information systems (DCIS)
Skill(s) Required: Engineer
Plant I&C, DCS or DCIS, and Power Plant Electrical Systems Design Engineer
Discipline: I&C and Electrical Design Automation and Productivity Tools Software Engineer
Minimum Education: Associates Degree
Minimum Years Professional Experience: 4
