Sr ETL/Database Developer will partner with additional team members by developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of the needs of the assigned customer group from a business and technical perspective and create Business Intelligence solutions.
She/he must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills as you will be interfacing directly with associates at all levels of the organization.
You must be a self-starter, able to work independently while balancing multiple projects and maintaining high levels productivity.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITEIS:
Sr ETL/Database developer will be responsible for analysis, design specifications, development, implementation and maintenance of SSIS packages that are require migrating data from source systems to warehouse systems in a BI environment.
Develop cross validation rules to ensure mapping accuracy.
Work closely with Data Architect to enable data governance strategy and overall Business Intelligence vision and strategy.
Create ETL that supports the logical data model in Microsoft Business Intelligence environment and/or SAP Business Objects environment.
Work with business users, other IT team members (Source system SMEs and managers) and management to ensure delivery of quality ETL in a timely basis.
Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production problems and data issues as necessary.
Participate in requirement gathering meetings to understand the business problem and help data architect with data modeling.
Educate the Business Intelligence team with best practices and develop optimization plan for ETL.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS - SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS degree (CS or MIS preferred) or equivalent experience
Experience in data modeling using, CA ERwin, or, Sparx EA, Embarcadero or other data modeling tools (3+yrs).
Other software the applicant should be familiar with include, Visual Studio
.NET, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, and Excel), Windows Operating
Systems, Windows Server Applications (IIS, Cluster Administrator, Terminal
Services).
Preferred:
Working knowledge and successful use of Agile methodology
Experience developing simple ASP.NET web applications. (4+ yrs).

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors and public
