The Executive Coordinator will assist the Associate Provost for Research in accomplishing the goals of providing leadership and direction in the planning, development, and evaluation of research on the Medical Campus. A strong self-motivated assistant is sought for this critical position to provide support and communication assistance for the APR.
B.A./B.S. required, M.A./M.S. preferred, with 5-10 years of experience. Strong oral/written communication and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize and work independently. Willingness to take initiative on projects; self-starter; ability to maintain confidentiality. Must adhere to BU’s compliance policy, department guidelines and policies, and all applicable laws and regulations at all times. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, strong web design skills, and the ability to compile and analyze financial data. Ability to research funding databases and identify funding initiatives. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with a diverse group of people at all levels including but not limited to administration, faculty, students, staff and external contacts.
