Expected Job Duties:
Interpret Engineering drawings or sketches, fabricate parts and assembly hardware in support of R&D programs in accordance with quality initiatives.
Responsible for the program, setup and operation of CNC Punch Press, Press Brakes and other precision Sheet Metal machinery for end-to-end fabrication with minimal supervision. Perform in-process inspection to assure hardware will meet customer requirements using precision measuring instruments (e.g.; calipers, etc.) Review work packages for producibility issues. Communicate with the customer as required to achieve end objectives. Record and monitor duration and completion of work performed in accordance with the quality procedures. Stay current and proficient with all applicable quality processes associated with assigned work. Required Skills/Education:
Minimum 5 years of experience in programming, set-up and operation of CNC lasers, CNC Press Brakes and other equipment to fabricate hardware varying widely in application and complexity. Fabricates, fits and assembles precision Sheet Metal components per sketches or drawings. Experience installing fasteners and hardware sheet metal assemblies. Good oral communications for interfacing with customers during the fabrication process. Positive interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team oriented atmosphere Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ANSI Y-145. Experience using FabriWin or similar software of programming CNC Laser Cutter. Ability to utilize MS Office and web based applications. Ability to import and manipulate 3 D CAD models. Environment/Special Requirements:
Overtime will be required during periods of peak workload. Safety glasses and safety shoes required . Must have the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
