Early Head Start Associate Teacher

DESCRIPTION

To assist the EHS teacher in a supportive role carrying out developmentally appropriate activities. To promote the health, nutrition, and education of the children (infants and toddlers) and attend to their safety and welfare. Position also includes bus monitor duties.

This position is a 24 hour per week, year round position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educational coursework in Early Childhood Education/Development typically achieved via progress towards an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or an Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate Certificate. Infant/Toddler CDA must be acquired within one year of hire.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a preschool (infant/toddler) classroom preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual English/Spanish skills highly preferred.
