Performs a variety of administrative and technical duties as assigned to provide management support and participate in special projects; This position is designed to provide students with professional experience in furtherance of their education and training. Work is performed under direct supervision.
Essential Job Functions*:
Must be physically able to operate computers, scanners, cameras, printers and copy machines, and the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects or items customary and reasonable in an office environment and at presentation sites. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve standing for extended periods, walking, and travel from site to site. Vocal communication is required. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels. Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written information, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities. The worker is subject to no adverse environmental conditions.
Assists with various tasks and projects that are directly associated with the academic program in which they are currently enrolled; May conduct research and perform analysis of assigned projects; May be trained to coordinate a procedure or minor program under direct supervision; Attends and participates in office meetings; May attend in-house departmental training.Performs other duties as assigned.

Related coursework in area of interest; Possess critical thinking skills; Ability to effectively communicate in both writing and speaking; Experience with Micro Soft Office Suite and other software as required by position; Ability to adhere to city policies; Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, Department Directors, and the general public.
Must currently be enrolled in a degree program, be in good academic standing and be registered for courses during the internship period. Summer interns must be enrolled for the upcoming Fall semester. Students must submit an application and official transcript to the Human Resources Department; Students must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States and are requested to provide proof of such eligibility
Special License and Certificates:
Possession of a valid drivers license.
