Scholastic, Inc. is seeking an editor to oversee the development of

digital products for Scholastic News magazines.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop digital nonfiction products that expand and reimagine print

products to meet the evolving needs of elementary school teachers

Collaborate with other editors, art directors, and educators to

develop those products

Assign and edit informational texts and related educational


Maintain a commanding knowledge Common Core State Standards,

particularly ELA standards for elementary school, as well as other

educational trends


BA or BS, preferably in English, Journalism, or Communications

Excellent writing and editing skills

3-5 years editorial experience

Experience developing digital products for the education market

Ability to manage the work of multiple people on tight schedules

Ability to collaborate and problem-solve

Knowledge of trends in education, including evolving standards,

curricula, and assessments
