We are seeking a proactive editorial intern for the fall term for its newspaper-style custom print editions covering international art fairs and lifestyle events.
The intern will assist a small production staff with administrative tasks, scheduling, telephone research, print and web research, fact-checking, and trafficking proof pages. A commitment to accuracy is important. Also important is punctuality, discretion, an ability to work independently, and excellent reading skills. A knowledge of Google online tools and InDesign is helpful but not necessary. A knowledge of languages other than English is helpful but not necessary.
Interns will have opportunities to write and will gain insight into both the art world and the process of producing a print publication.
The internship requires a commitment of two days a week for a minimum of three months and may be undertaken in exchange for academic credit, though receiving school credit is not mandatory.
