Editorial Supply Chain Intern

The individual in this position will support the Supply Chain Manager and team with day-to-day activities related to Shipping, Dataposting and Capacity Planning.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Primary tasks include supporting the Supply Chain Manager

  • Work with Vendor Relations on reporting vendor shipments, returns, capacity and trending:

    • Run weekly capacity queries

    • Create weekly capacity report

    • Run On-Hand queries; send to vendors and to appropriate internal team for cleanup

  • Assist Supply Chain team with daily vendor shipments

  • Evaluate Service Issues and Service Issue Prevention tickets as reported by the vendors and to the vendors:

    • Direct problems for solution to the appropriate Editorial or EP group for resolution. Track and follow up on progress for removal from problematic list

    • Provide weekly status to Manager of Vendor Relations on the status of problems that have been resolved, organized by problem/by vendor

  • Assist Supply Chain Mgmt and Vendor Relations in analyzing and reporting Work in Progress Status at the vendors


  • High School graduate

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelors program

  • Microsoft Requirements:

    • Excel: 1+ to 2 years required

    • Outlook: 1+ to 2 years required

    • PowerPoint: 1+ to 2 years required

    • Word: 1+ to 2 years required

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Positive attitude and team player
