SMART is recruiting an education consultant for the Pacific Northwest of the United States. Reporting to the Manager, Education Consulting your activities within the organization will promote increased sales of SMART products.

Your responsibilities will include the following:
  • Internal business development and coaching
    • Supporting SMART’s channel partners with positioning SMART as the education solution provider of choice facilitating their ability to capitalize on potential client opportunities
    • Developing relationships and determining customized strategies and support plans to meet the development needs of individual channel partners
  • Providing consultation and guidance for key accounts on SMART solutions
  • Managing key initiative project(s) to support the Education Enablement Team’s directives
  • Taking input on broad policy and funding trends, and providing insight on district- and building-level issues, to better inform engagements with district-level decision-makers and influencers
  • Understanding Local and State Trends in terms of funding & policy making
  • Providing input to determine the relevance and efficacy of SMART
  • Making Contact and establishing relationships with decision makers at the state and local levels
  • Performing other duties as required
Job Requirements

You have the following qualifications:
  • Experience within Education (K-12) 4+ years
  • Educational technology – Implementation/Sales/Support
  • Business/Corporate Development
  • Strong presentation, design and delivery skills
  • Strong PC and business software application skills, including Microsoft office suite
  • Proven ability to learn new software applications with ease
  • Detail-oriented, strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate persuasively at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work effectively in multiple environments (remotely, independently, team based)
  • Able to think strategically with sales targets in mind
  • Extensive knowledge of the educational technology industry including current and emerging trends and initiatives
  • Has intellectual curiosity and a propensity for continued personal and professional learning and growth
  • Experience with classroom technology integration, preferably SMART products
  • Strong internal and external business relationship management skills
  • Adult learning methodologies [andragogy]
  • Well versed with professional social networking sites
  • Flexible and able to thrive in a dynamic work environment with the ability to conceptualize and absorb information in order to move forward on projects and add value quickly
