Education Coordinator Responsible for analyzing needs and then develop, implement and evaluate various programs/curricula, with an emphasis on staff development and performance improvement/increased clinical outcomes. Assists clinical leaders in developing and coordinating specific departmental education programs will provide and/or facilitate mandatory/required and supplemental education programs, assuring compliance with regulatory and state requirements.
BSN (with plans to further education); MSN in Nursing Education highly preferred; Current RN Licensure in Arizona; 5 years clinical exp; 2 years minimum in nursing or other healthcare education experience; BLS within 30 days of hire; Certs – ACLS, PALS within 6 months of hire, NRP within 12 months of hire; Strong verbal and written communication skills required; Must have the ability to perform duties accurately with minimal supervision; Must have strong organizational skills; Must have the ability to establish and maintain positive team working relationships to promote change; Must have the ability to prepare educational materials and facilitate training; Requires knowledge of excel spreadsheets, graphs, word documents, and power point; Must possess strong critical thinking skills, a high degree of energy and self-motivation, strong planning and prioritizing skills, a systematic approach to problem-solving and demonstrated leadership and teaching skills. Must be able to adhere to the Standards of Performance for CVCH.
