    JOB LOCATION: The Education Coordinator position is located at VEI Administration Building; 7330 Shadeland Station, Indianapolis, Indiana 46256


    The Education Coordinator works with all VEI managed sites (surgery centers, endoscopy centers, and hospital surgery departments) in Indiana and Michigan.

    The main responsibility of the Education Coordinator will be conducting initial and recertification instruction/training for CPR, ACLS, PALS, and TB certification.

    Using the approved and current curricula and guidelines of the American Heart Association (AHA), the Coordinator will plan, teach, and evaluate the instructional components of Staff Education.

    In addition, the Education Coordinator will also be responsible for other classroom and clinical education needs in the perioperative area as identified.


    Minimum of three years of experience as an instructor and currently certified to teach the following: BLS/CPR, ACLS, PALS, and TB Certification training to administer and read TB tests

    Perioperative experience preferred but not required

    Proficient knowledge of Indiana and Michigan state licensure, AAAHC, and Joint Commission standards as they relate to all educational requirements


    Graduate of an NLN or CCNE accredited program of nursing


    Current and valid Indiana RN license


    Candidate must be willing to travel between Indiana and Michigan sites

    Monday '" Friday flex hours; occasional weekends/evening hours dependent upon educational needs
