Under the limited supervision of the program manager, provides oversight to and leadership for the state secondary level Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) grants allocated to local education agencies. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing technical assistance to regional coordinators, program specialists, and local education agencies regarding CTAE accountability and improvement programs and CTAE state and federal grants; providing technical assistance to regional coordinators, program specialists, and local education agencies regarding questions related to the Consolidated Application process for CTAE programs and grants; reviewing and approving as appropriate CTAE state and federal grants; communicating with local education agencies regarding required revisions; reviewing and approving all CTAE grants amendments; working directly with technology services to resolve all technical issues related to the Consolidated Application process; effectively communicating required revisions regarding the current grant CTAE state grant application process; working directly with technology services to create and modify forms related to the CTAE state and federal grants application process; assisting with career pathways/clusters development and implementation activities as needed; and conducting training and making presentations on CTAE program activities as needed.
Master’s degree in education, education administration, or a related field, and three years of experience in a K-12 professional-level position. Must hold or be eligible for Georgia Professional Standards Commission certification. Note: Must submit required certification documentation with resume and cover letter or application. Must have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) programs.
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Experience in K-12 school finance
• Experience working with federal grants
• Five or more years working with CTAE programs
Pay grade 18 -- Annual salary range $47,280.21 (minimum) to $82,962.30 (maximum). Starting salary dependent on current employment, training, and experience. Benefit options include life, disability, dental and health insurance; annual/sick leave; and Teachers Retirement or Employees’ Retirement.
