Ombudsman is seeking an Educational Data Specialist for our North Georgia Administrative office located in Lithia Springs, GA. This is a full-time position.
This position has responsibility for administrative and data entry, collection and reporting duties. These duties include but are not limited to: office supply purchasing, typing, filing, preparation of reports, reception and telephone duties and receiving, reviewing, and entering data into internal and external systems according to established procedures. The position participates in the assurance process to confirm that data and reporting are accurate and provides trainings as required.
The person in this position works independently and is self motivated to complete tasks according to Ombudsman guidelines. The position works with center, administrative and district personnel to achieve organizational goals in a timely and professional manner. By sharing information with the appropriate audience and maintaining an open line of communication, the position develops and maintains positive working relationships with organizational departments, referring school districts and parents/students through professional communication, ensuring the organization’s vision, mission and goals are upheld.

High school degree required, Bachelors degree preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years work experience in an administrative and/or a clerical position or a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the position’s essential duties and responsibilities.
Knowledge of records management procedures and of assigned program activities guidelines and processes
Strong computer and customer service phone skills
Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
Flexibility to shifting priorities.
Strong time management skills for adapting and meeting deadlines.
Strong organizational skills.
Excellent clerical skills for typing and data entering with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to operate various work-processing software, spreadsheets, and database programs.
