      Responsibilities and Competencies for Edward Jones Marketing Director

      The Edward Jones marketing director is a member of the marketing management team which focuses on understanding client needs, building integrated marketing strategies with sales teams and developing strategic marketing plans specifically focused on this firm. The marketing director is instrumental in helping drive the business forward by bringing together the strategic focus of the sales teams and the brand proposition of our business into a meaningful distribution strategy for J.P. Morgan and Edward Jones.

      This position is responsible for working with the IBD Sr. Marketing Director, channel sales head, national and accounts sales team to build meaningful marketing plans to deliver against the sales and business goals of Edward Jones. The key responsibilities of the job are:
      ·
      working with channel sales head and national accounts team to build strategic marketing plans
      ·
      developing effective sales programs to drive sales in the channel
      ·
      building segmentation and targeting approaches to define optimal contact strategies
      ·
      working with the Digital Strategy team to identify optional and optimal digital communications approaches
      ·
      understanding client needs, competitors and the competitive environment
      ·
      within the very defined culture of Edward Jones, identify and execute marketing strategies
      ·
      working with Marketing Communications to execute channel communications needs
      ·
      working with Product Strategy team to craft messaging and positioning
      ·
      coordinating Edward Jones specific events with meeting and events teams and program manager
      ·
      managing the Edward Jones marketing budget

      Qualifications
      ·
        At least 5-8 years of marketing/communications experience in investment/mutual fund or related industry
        ·
        Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies for intermediary sold businesses
        ·
        Deep knowledge of the investment management business with experience in building strategic marketing programs that deliver strong results
        ·
        Strong strategic and critical thinking skills
        ·

        Excellent verbal and written skills
        ·

        Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work well with senior management and sales organizations
