Perform high reliability soldering and crimping operations on complex electrical, electronic and mechanical assemblies and electronic control assemblies. Required to solder/crimp wires and jumpers to multiple pin connectors/assemblies to meet government/customer inspection and specification requirements. Perform assembly of various circuit boards, which may include multiple types of electrical components, standoffs, jumper wires and wire harnesses, final assemblies and solder or crimp complex assemblies/connections. Utilize electrical and mechanical measuring instruments, assembly tools, fixtures and various cleaning procedures. This may require using microscopes, mirrors, high-resolution equipment and torque wrenches.
Requires the use of basic mathematics, including decimals and fractions as related to electrical diagrams and terms. One to three years soldering experience.
Assemble high reliability electrical hardware by hand. Able to work in a team environment.
Must pass vision requirements for certification course 314 J-Std soldering
Mandatory participation in the FAA drug and alcohol testing program is required
