Our client is a growing firm with an immediate opening for an Electrical Controls Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering electrical control systems for industrial equipment in accordance with customer requirements. Additionally, you will maintain the design of current products, maintain the integrity of product standardization and provide technical support to the service department.

Responsibilities will include:
Engineers and releases electrical control systems in accordance with the specification provided by Applications Engineering. This includes P&ID, sequence of operations, utility requirements, wiring diagrams, programming and operator interface. Develops equipment submittals from specifications provided by Applications Engineering and the customer. Develops system O&M’s. Investigates and initiates corrective actions in collaboration with other personnel to solve design problems and process ECR’s. Provides support to the Service department to identify the root cause of performance issues and engineer solutions as appropriate. Assists with design and performance issues as they occur on the manufacturing floor. Redesigns products or recommends systemic changes to prevent re-occurrence. Adheres to engineering group tasks and time objectives. Provides guidance and technical supervision to design personnel Participates in the Design - Best Practices team Attends weekly project review meetings Reviews documentation such as releases, prints and specifications Performs all duties in accordance with sound project management principles
Background Profile
B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience designing PLC based control systems and industrial power distribution and control. Experience designing control systems using Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLC platforms, preferably Siemens. 5+ years experience in an Electrical Engineering position or Electrical Engineering related field. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code. Track record of effective leadership skills, the ability to build consensus amongst co-workers and the ability to facilitate problem resolution Ability to work closely and effectively with manufacturing personnel
