The Electrical Engineer position is responsible for leading and managing the electrical portions of multi-faceted engineering projects across GMCR sites with an emphasis on the design and implementation of electrical power systems and equipment to meet capacity, cost, quality and energy goals. These projects include the construction and renovation of new or existing facilities, installation of equipment and peripheral system design.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage electrical portions of engineering projects that encompass utility supply, main service and distribution infrastructure to support buildings, equipment, process and personnel requirements while striving for superior technology and identifying energy efficiency opportunities
· Develop and work with cross functional teams on the electrical design and implementation phases of infrastructure related projects
· Develop scopes of work and drawings for electrical portions of various projects
· Collaborate with GMCR manufacturing facilities to develop and sustain structured maintenance, audit and documentation procedures that support safety and code compliance requirements
· Partner with sites and engineering groups to develop a robust procedure to generate and maintain accurate electrical drawings
· Provide technical support to other Engineering, Facilities and Operational groups
· Maintain project budgets, schedules, supporting documentation and timelines while meeting established project objectives
· Build and manage relationships with consultants, contractors, site engineering teams and enterprise engineering peers to plan and execute projects to a common synergy
· Oversee and manage adherence to required federal, state and local codes associated with the installation and ongoing operation of electrical systems and equipment
· Provide coaching and mentoring to promote the development of Electrical support staff across manufacturing facilities
· Responsible for the development and integration of metering and data collection systems into buildings and equipment
OTHER NECESSARY FUNCTIONS:

Follows all policies, procedures, ergonomic standards and safety requirements directed by GMCR and the department.
· Performs other duties as requested by management

QUALIFICATIONS :
· BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
· Minimum of 7 years of experience in an Electrical Engineering role
· Strong knowledge of National electrical code interpretation and application
· Experience in a Manufacturing or Industrial based environment
· Experience working with Electrical Utility companies
· Competent in Excel, MS project, Word and Power Point
· Strong ability in CAD or equivalent drawing packages required
· Control system experience preferred
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Ability to be self-directed, self-motivated and goal orientated
· Demonstrated leadership ability and advanced project management skills
· Able to work in a fast paced environment
· Ability to travel up to 30% of the time and work a flexible schedule
· Ability to follow and uphold Safety standards and Manufacturing best practices
· Ability to get along with others, be punctual, and follow instructions
· Ability to follow GMCR policies and procedures
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
·
Predominately sedentary light office position with high frequency of keyboarding/computer work required (67% - 100% of the workday).
