Electrical Engineer

What You’ll Do (but not limited to):
• Design innovative, premium solutions to consumer electronic issues
• Act as an integral part of the design team, facilitating DFX and enabling creativity
• Apply cutting edge technology to new product ideas
• Demonstrate understanding of team desires and contribute necessary electric/design knowledge – teach your team about electrical engineering and what you do
• Utilize understanding of how products are made via recommendations to design team
• Prototype, test, conduct design optimization and perform design validation
• Communicate clearly with outside vendors to effectively produce established project deliverables

What You Need (but not limited to):
• BSEE required, MSEE preferred 5+ years Electrical Engineer experience in a design role
• Experienced in analog and digital hardware design
• Microprocessors: Freescale, Texas Instruments, National Semiconductor
• Experience with Simulation and Layout Tools (Cadence, OrCAD, PSpice, Altium, PADS)
• Experienced in Li-Ion battery charging techniques and state-of-the art charging technologies
• Familiarity with USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, OCR, and MSR
• Experience with Digital Signal Processing a plus
• Wireless technology (WiFi, BLE) experience highly desired
• Knowledge of designing to meet regulatory/agency requirements (FCC, CE, RoHS)
• Experience taking a product through lifecycle from concept to commercialization
• Experience designing consumer electronics highly desired
• Ability to communicate complex concepts elegantly
• Experience using product data management software a plus
• Agility and able to accept change
• Desire to push through the boundaries of traditional product design
• Crazy passion for creative problem solving
• Able to set ego aside, roll up your sleeves, and work side-by-side with a talented team in a highly collaborative environment
• Solid understanding of mixed signal electronic design, PCB layout techniques and guidelines, and detailed prototype validation
• Strong experience with PCB layout software
