Instrumentation and Control Systems / Electrical
Engineering positions are currently available for
experienced instrumentation and control system/
electrical engineers to design, test, deploy, and
support Instrumentation and Control (I&C) Systems for
both the existing and next generation reactor plants.
These I&C systems perform reactor protection and control
safety critical functions, demanding the highest degree
of quality and reliability. Typical roles and

responsibilities will include:
  • being the subject matter expert on design, operation
and maintenance of your assigned system
  • defining system level requirements for design
changes/modifications to your assigned system
  • reviewing vendor's detailed design to ensure system
requirements are being fulfilled
  • developing, evaluating and testing I&C concepts for
next generation applications
  • laboratory testing of equipment to verify technical
adequacy and ensure robustness of design
  • supporting the training of Navy personnel on the
design, operation,and maintenance of the assigned
  • providing emergent support to troubleshoot and
resolve issues associated with your assigned system
in a timely manner
  • developing technical and programmatic
recommendations/reports usually requiring the
integration across multiple technical disciplines
  • working on diverse assignments that support career

Job Requirements:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET
accredited college or university and a minimum of two
years of relevant experience; or MS degree in Electrical
Engineering from an ABET accredited college or
Specific course work and experience in one or more of
the following areas: microprocessor based equipment,
control systems, or hardware development
