The Head Down Displays Center (HDDC) has an opening for an Electrical Engineer. The HDDC is responsible for designing display products for commercial and military avionics as well as ground vehicles. This position will be responsible for the verification of graphics and video processing FPGAs for display applications.
Support Verification planning, requirements based verification using System Verilog with a model based approach, verification documentation to support the development of complex graphics and video processing FPGAs.
Opportunities for device development as well which includes support of design planning, requirements capture, FPGA digital architecture and RTL design using VHDL, design documentation, synthesis, place and route, timing closure and analysis, board level integration support, software integration support and HW Test verification.
Estimate, track and report project costs and schedules.
Provide input to graphics and video technical and product roadmaps.
Experience in simulation development using System Verilog. Experience with Code Coverage Analysis or RTL coding in VHDL a plus.
Experience using FPGA simulation tools (e.g. Questasim, Spyglass )
Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools (Subversion)
Ability to work under the guidance of more senior engineer as part of a team of engineers with a variety of skills and backgrounds
Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to document and present one's work and status
Experience with the following tools:
• Microsoft Office (Documentation)
• DOORS (Requirements Capture)
• PREP (Team Reviews)
• ClearQuest (Change Management)
• Subversion (Version Control)
Experience with Unix, scripting, C/C++, and/or Perl
Experience with DO-254 hardware development process, including writing requirements based verification cases and procedures
Familiarity with image generation - 2D, 3D
This position resides in a facility requiring US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (Green Card)
Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering or science field, and two
years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree,
eight years of related engineering experience.
