Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
  • E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) Required, P.E. (Professional Engineering) Preferred
  • 2-4 years of MEP industry experience
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record required
  • Ability to travel unassisted out-of-town and overnight for up to 5% of the time
  • Computer skills: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook & Excel required; experience using Revit, AutoCAD, Visual, AGI32, Bussman, Dapper Captor, Cummins Power Suite, Excel Voltage Drop Template, COMCheck, Techstreet and Bluebeam
  • Demonstrated ability to perform NEC demand calculations, lighting calculations (zonal cavity and computer modeling) and load calculations (voltage drop, panel board, load summary, etc.)
  • Strong working knowledge of electrical drafting standards
  • Working knowledge of NEC and other frequently-used codes
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and closely with others in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with individuals in a variety of position levels both inside and outside the organization
Preferred Experience & Education:
  • B.S. Degree in Architectural or Electrical Engineering
