GE P&W – Distributed Power is looking for highly motivated individuals to join Aero fulfillment team. The successful candidate will interface with customers, manufacturing, project managers, sourcing, and parts personnel. This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to develop and demonstrate the skills necessary for an engineering technical leadership role. AEP is a $3 Billion global organization that consists of engine, packaging, and services businesses.
In addition, in this role you will:
Part Creation (New and Project Specific)
CGER Technical Execution (Drawing Redlines to Standards, Parts Creation, etc.)
Create Bill of Material (BOM) from eF&O, perform accuracy review and approval to release
Create initial build book and build plan for manufacturing, process engineering change orders submittals and update the BOM
Work with project lead, provide product clarification and answer customer’s questions
Work with installation and commissioning team and resolve issues
Work with PM and project to prepare customer meeting Presentations and participate in discussions
Project Meeting Attendance (Engineering Release, HOM, CKOM, PSE Handover, Customer Meeting etc.)
Review design and medication needs with chief engineers and communicate modifications to manufacturing and sourcing team. Work with shop and testing team to resolve project related issues
Prepare & Present Technical design reviews to manager and technical lead
Execute DMP. SMI
Propose and execute IP ideas
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET or related accredited program
Minimum of 5 years electrical engineering experience
Strong understanding of GE gas turbines and packages
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated project management skills including coordinating activities across functions, demonstrated leadership skills
Focus on customer service and fulfillment
Highly organized, self starter with strong technical and leadership skills. PC proficiency

Master of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET or related accredited program
Minimum of 10 years electrical engineering experience in the power industry
Previous experience designing or installing GE Energy turbine packages
Familiarity with GE AEP engineering tools and processes
Familiarity with the design and specification of complete power plant electrical systems, including generator protection, excitation and distribution system
