Full-time Position (1.0 FTE)
Performs inspection, preventive maintenance, repair, and modifications on electrical and electronics systems.
High School Diploma or GED.
Four years experience as an electrician preferred.
Alaska certificate of fitness as a journeyman electrician preferred.
Valid Alaska drivers license required.
Principles and practices of electrical work.
Basic general maintenance work.
Electrical codes, equipment and tools.
Fire alarms, clock systems, and intercoms.
Inspect, maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Use a variety of electrical instruments and tools.
Maintain effective working relationships with other people.
COMPENSATION : This is a full-time 12-month position, with a minimum salary of $23.36 per hour. We offer an excellent benefit package including medical, dental, vision, the Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) plan, and paid time off.
Selected hire will be fingerprinted at applicant's expense and fingerprints will be forwarded to the Alaska State Troopers and the FBI for a criminal background check.
