Job Title: Project Engineer - Electrical
Reports To: Engineering Manager
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Coordinates planning, organization, and implementation of engineering projects within constraints of specific objectives and target dates. Projects are conceived and specified by engineering management, consultants and contractors. Pulls the project together with an appropriate staff of supporting technicians, mechanics and personnel from other departments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Of Time Duty or Responsibility
50% Demonstrated ability to engineer, and manage capital and major expense projects within an industrial setting
5% Demonstrated ability to support the maintenance and operations departments in the daily management of a paper mill or Chemical Plant operation
5% Understanding of electrical distribution systems at the medium and low voltage levels, understanding of National Electric Code
5% Understanding of process control systems including distributed control and programmable logic control
10% Understanding of AutoCad and Microsoft based office programs
25% Demonstrated interpersonal skills required to work within a team environment in both a project management and trouble shooting roles
Supervisory responsibility refers to direct line control over a group of staff members including such matters as recruiting and selection, compensation and promotion, performance appraisal and termination.

__X_ Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and three to five or more years related experience and/or training – preferably Pulp and Paper or Chemical industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
