Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical machinery such as motor control systems, programmable controllers, high voltage equipment, engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, pumps, mills, and tanks. Increasing level of responsibility per job grade as indicated below.
Read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams and schematic drawings
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning electrical and mechanical equipment
Maintain electrical and maintenance department records including but not limited to: backlogs, work performed, work orders, equipment performance, safety and operating manuals, technical drawings
Maintain various 3-phase voltage levels
Assemble and test experimental motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids and other electrical equipment and components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principals
Diagnose causes of electrical or mechanical malfunction or failure of operational equipment and perform preventative and corrective maintenance
Read and implement wiring diagrams, layout drawings and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications or expansion
Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other Company policies, procedures and requirements
Perform other duties as instructed by supervisor
Job Grade Specific Duties/ Skills
Troubleshoot lighting circuits, switches, motors and motor starters, run conduit & pull wire, OPS-9 Certified, Effectively complete all E&I PMs.
Education: Four (4) years electrician apprenticeship or technical school equivalent preferred
Experience: Three (3) years experience in the construction/mining/concrete industry preferred
Five years millwright and electrical experience preferred
License: Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must have sufficient level of education to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature relating to products and equipment. Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, including reading and writing. Must have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, circuit diagrams, and schematics. Must understand electrical safety and MSHA rules and regulations relating to production of cement and related products.

This position requires knowledge and awareness of construction and industrial sites. Protective gear will be required where appropriate. Position requires ability to work varying start times and shifts dependent on business needs. Overtime and weekend work may be required.
