Working Title: Electrician
Job Summary/Essential Functions: Perform journey level electrical installation and maintenance as directed. Assist with high voltage electrical work as required. Perform maintenance, repair and related testing of Fire Alarm and Security systems. Perform installation, maintenance and repair of kitchen equipment, elevators, and other University electrical equipment. . Installation, repair and maintenance of street and walkway lighting. Perform work as described in, but not to exceed scope as described in specification for class.
Conditions of Employment: Successful candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment Physical.
This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt or, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value; as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. Successful applicant will be required to pass a background check for continued employment.
This is an agency shop position.

Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm
or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Possible 4/10"s available.
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as an electrician; or full journey status as an electrician in a union; or four years' applicable work experience.
Vocational training may be substituted for work experience on a year-for-year basis.
Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Specific Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Candidate must demonstrate interest, ability and/or experience promoting cultural competency and/or diversity.
Experience in construction and remodel of lite commercial and multi-family residential electrical systems.
Current Washington State EL-01 Electrical License/Certificate
Experience as a High Voltage Electrician.
