Job title: Electromechanical Assembler I
7 - Operatives
Contributes to the overall goals of the department through full participation in 1-2 of the following core operations: assembly, calibration, final assembly and packing of flowmeter instruments.
Works from samples and simple drawings, as well as written and verbal instructions. Uses various hand and power tools to perform work.
Perform tasks related to 1-2 of the following four core operations.
o Assemble parts (mechanical and/or electronic) to form complete unit or subassembly at a bench, conveyor line, or assigned location.
o Perform visual inspection and functional testing during assembly operation.
o Operate computer-based calibration system.
o Setup flowmeter operating parameters both manually and using a computer.
o Perform visual inspection and functional testing during calibration.
· Final Assembly
o Operate computer-based laser system for labeling meters.
o Perform visual inspection and functional testing during final assembly.
o Verify instrument information and choose proper packaging materials for each instrument.
o Proper packing and packaging of instruments.
o Stage boxes for shipping and coordinate with Inventory Control personnel.
Maintain an accurate inventory in work cell, which includes physical storage.
Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and tools required to accomplish daily tasks.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.

· Basic math, reading and comprehension (written and verbal) skills.
High School diploma or general education degree (GED).

· Regularly required to stand and walk
· Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
