Diagnoses, repairs, calibrates, designs, and installs electronic systems for an assigned department.
Designs, specifies, installs, maintains, diagnoses, repairs and calibrates electronic, electrical and electro-mechanical devices.
Installs wiring and conduit.
Designs, creates, modifies and interprets electrical schematic drawings.
Maintains records of repairs to electronic equipment as well as inventory and supply records.
Assists with installing, interpreting, and modifying computer software for various applications.
Makes field inspections to ensure proper operation and timing of control devices.
May be required to work in closely confined spaces in wastewater treatment areas.
Associate’s degree in Electronic Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or related field or two years of experience in electronics, electrical, or electromechanical repair and installation, or a related field. Must possess knowledge and skills in operation of personal computers. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Must obtain a valid Georgia Water Distribution System Operator license or Wastewater Collection System Operator license within two (2) years of employment. An equivalent combination of training and/or experience will be considered.
