EMA is a small growing company with a national reputation. Starting pay is commensurate with experience.
Wage: $35,000- $50,000/year. Overtime available. Full time, entry level, Associate degree.
Responsible for repair, maintenance, installation, and commissioning of industrial & HVAC electronic equipment both in-shop and at customer's location. Employer does not repair consumer electronics, and this is not an IT job.
Typical travel is within 200 mile radius of the office, overnight stays are occasional. Average 2-3 days a week outside the office on field service calls.
Maintain documentation on all orders.
Construct and maintain test fixtures and test panels.
Provide technical support to customers.
Two-year degree, or military equivalent. Some experience in electronic technology desired.
PCB component level repair experience desired.
Ability to work independently with emphasis to detail and accuracy.
Ability to communicate effectively and cooperatively with customers.
All employees must have a valid driver's license, and a drug & background check.
All applicants must take a competency exam.
Must speak, read and write English at the twelfth grade level (no exceptions).
Must be able to lift 70 lbs unaided.
Must be computer literate.
Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship.
Employer provides both classroom and on-the-job training.*
Service personnel typically start at $16 to $20 per hour with pay increasing as rapidly as the improvement in the employee's job skills increases.
The probation period is 90 days, after which health insurance is activated, along with 5 paid personal days.
Vacation is standard, one week after the first year of service, two after two, etc.

Once approved for field service work, a field service technician earns $. 66 per billable mile.
All field service expenses are paid for by the company, and any overnight stays earn the service technician an extra $50 per night.
This is not a HEAVY Field Service Job, most service calls are one day, with an average of 2-3 a week.
Overtime is dependent on business demands, and a qualified tech will typically be offered >150 hours per year.
Overtime is paid at the rate of 1.5 times your hourly pay. EMA also pays double-time on Sundays/holidays, and between the hours of 12:00 am to 6:00 am on weekdays.
Sharp service personnel typically earn $40,000.00+ per year.
