Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrating behavior consistent with Goodwill Industries Historic Values, Basic Principles and Standards of Conduct
  • Travel to all off-site central Indiana GWI locations by company service vehicle to maintain equipment at all locations and properties in condition consistent with GWI initiatives and branding strategy. Locations include retail store locations, warehouses, Industrial Services (Tremont), and the corporate location (includes Indianapolis MET and the Excel Center)
  • Ensure all work performed is of high quality and meets with all state and local municipality requirements and all applicable building codes
    • Maintains parts/tool inventory as needed.
    • Communicates with maintenance operations manager, retail store management, service contractors, and others to coordinate mechanical equipment operations and repair activities.
    • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Skilled in the maintenance and repair of electronic systems (typically 30V) including, but not limited to wiring for Audio, Video, Telephone, Intercom, Data (cat5e) , Alarm Systems, Weather Station, HVAC
  • Read and interpret equipment drawings and schematics as needed to diagnose equipment
  • Interpret OEM equipment documentation to repair and maintain equipment
  • Competency with preventive maintenance procedures and ability to recommend changes that add value to operations.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and internal staff to facilitate troubleshooting and repair of facilities and equipment.
    • Knowledge of database software (i.e. CMMS), spreadsheet software and word processing software.(i.e. MS Office Suite) preferred .
    • Knowledge of PLC systems/applications – reading ladder logic diagrams to diagnose equipment operations preferred .
    • Be a self-directed, self starter who takes initiative to find and solve problems
    • Dedicated to customer satisfaction
      • Up-to-date automobile insurance, valid driver’s license and good driving record
      • Must be able to pass the background check process

Base range: $20-$25 hourly pay rate
