Pressure Pumping Services is currently hiring for an Electrical Technician to join the team.
Responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and testing electronic equipment in support of field operations. This position reports directly to the Operations Supervisor and works closely with the Engineers and Manufacturing personnel.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for testing, troubleshooting, calibrating, and the quality control of all instrumentation.
Troubleshoot and repair instruments on pumping equipment in the shop or in the field.
Operation of data acquisition devices and training of personnel to operate data acquisition devices.
Work with engineering on testing of prototype and modified instruments.
Electrical, electronic, and mechanical assembly of prototype and production items.
Ongoing documentation and record keeping of electronic maintenance and repairs performed on equipment.
Assembly of panels and consoles
Maintain a safe work area or job site by following Superior Energy Services' Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental (QHSE) and Standard Operating (SOP's) procedures manuals.
Must carry a Class A, Commercial Driver's License (CDL), duties and responsibilities include driving, logging, performing inspections, etc. in accordance with Texas State and Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
Minimum Requirements and Knowledge Needed
3 – 4 years experience with current practices and technology associated with electronics used in the oil and gas industry.
Knowledge of electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment.
Ability to comprehend electrical schematics to troubleshoot electronic components.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work a "24 hour on call" schedule. Out of town travel with occasional overnight stays is required.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule and work long irregular hours
Ability to effectively conduct self in such a manner as to assure customer satisfaction.
Must be able to safely lift 90 lbs.
Preferred Associate’s Degree from a technical college or university, or a minimum of three years related experience and/or training, preferably in the oil and gas industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Required
