Kistler Instrument Corporation is looking for an Electronics Engineer to work out of Kistler’s Competence Center located in Amherst, New York, USA.
The Electronics Engineer will be responsible for generating detailed designs for analog electronic circuits along with associated wiring and cabling for measurement instrumentation. He/she will determine the performance requirements and evaluate prototypes as well as ensure that designs are fully documented and meet cost objectives. They will coordinate the technical requirements, design activities, fabrication activities, and verification activities for assigned projects with the Engineering Team.
Qualified candidates will have an affinity for general measurement instrumentation; good analytical skills, as well as good oral and written communication skills, strong project management skills along with a familiarity of CAE for circuit synthesis and analysis. Experience with integrated miniature sensor electronics is desirable. For circuit layout, experience with Altium is preferred, as well as experience in instrument calibration. The successful candidate will be expected to collaborate on projects as part of an international team.
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a four year college or university or equivalent; plus a minimum of six to ten years of related experience in the design, manufacture and testing of electronic instrumentation.
